Jamaica - Coffee, Rum, Music, Athletics, Tourism, Cuisine

My island home, Jamaica is a beautiful country in the Caribbean Sea located to the southeast of the United States; it's closest geographic neighbors being Cuba and the island of Hispaniola. Jamaica's population is about 2.7 million people. Jamaica was formerly known as 'Xaymaca' before Europeans landed on the island, a name meaning "Land of Wood and Water" or the "Land of Springs." The name was given by the indigenous inhabitants of the island.

Though small in size, Jamaica is recognized globally for its athletes, late singer/ musician Bob Marley, reggae music, Blue Mountain coffee, rum, beaches, landscape and its tourism.
